Ridge Locomotive Works #18

Post by Marty_Knox »

I recently completed a Roll Models 3 3/4" scale 2-6-0. Here it is in its new home in Princeton Illinois.

I owe my boiler customers an apology. This consumed the last two months of my shop time.

My gosh Marty...that beast must have filled up your shop!

Is this the new loco line for Ridge? More Green Goddess locomotives?

Looks great! Have any more photos? Carl B.

Carl, it is a Roll Models Sweet Creek. It was started by Don Orr years ago. I built the boiler for him in 2009.
I took a lot of pictures during the construction, not many of the delivery. There are videos up on Facebook.

The passenger cars next to the engine really puts the size into scale.

Always thought it was really neat how this one was designed so that you sit down in it vs higher up in the tender.

Is it a 12 or 14 inch boiler ?

This one is a 10" pipe boiler - 10 3/4" OD, in a 12 1/2" OD smokebox.
