Silver solder paste

Post by steamblower »

Any caveats regarding using silver solder paste and opposed to traditional solder rod and appropriate flux? Seems the ss solder paste is good for small fittings on tubing….. thanks

or for large flat surfaces

as with anything related to SS -> just be careful and go slow the first 1000 times you do it.
Too many things going on to bother listing them.

That would depend upon what you are soldering. I'd agree that for small stuff, fittings and such, it would be excellent; for large assemblies not so much.

Heavy, heavy sigh!
What's happening to my aged mind? I didn't notice that until it was pointed out.
It has been fixed!
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Thanks, guys, but truth be told, I do this for me. It's great therapy and gives me an opportunity to interact with folks with common interests. I'm happy to be here and privileged to have the opportunity to help.

Can somebody post some links to the different products? Like the paste and the traditional flux and solder?
