Hi Everyone,
Just looking for some original builder/owner info:

I purchased a 1.5” scale 4-6-4 back in November that was originally owned by Dr. John Creighton the founder of the Riverside Live Steamers. He purchased the engine in 1966 from someone in the Orange or Los Angeles area. According to reports, the engine was either well used or in need of serious repairs when Doc purchased it. Since RLS had not yet been incorporated until July that year the thinking of the guys I have spoken to is that it may have been from a member at LALS.

Here is a photo from 1967 of Doc standing next to the engine.

Does this ring a 55 year old bell with anyone?

Thanks to everyone that took a look.
I was hopefully that we'd be able to turn up the original owner but figured it was a bit of a long shot.

So with that in mind here are the five owners through the years that I know of:

"Doc" Creighton from the cover of the August 1976 R.L.S. Chronicle
Doc with Hudson 8-1976_crp_sm.jpg
Fred Rout at the Riverside Live Steamer's Columbia Station 1984

The engine does have a history of being a good pulling engine.

Josh Klenske built a new boiler for it and is seen here 2009

I'll have to check through photos and video from Riverside. My dad was a member starting in the early 70's, me during the 80's till '89 when we moved. Might be a while, lots to go through lol
