Harry Peotter memories
Harry Peotter memories
SO I know this my be a long shot but when I was a kid in the early 70's my father would take us to Harry's house in our home town of Clintonville. I was wondering if anyone has any thing of Harry's or memories of him? My father and I just for the first time steamed up my father's 1" scale LE pacific in the back yard . So it brought back some old memories for my Dad that is getting on in years. I will post pics of his Pacific later today.

He used to go to the Windsor Ontario track in the 1960's. Here are some pictures taken by Hue Brakke that were given to me by Murray Bennell. The history of the club is now on the IBLS site. I was told Harry's engine ran at a very high pressure because he said the real ones did so his did too.

Re: Harry Peotter memories
My dad says Harrys boiler was made from High Pressure Oil well Pipe and then machined the outside and the inside , it was also seamless . He use to gives kids a ride around his house in town on a circle track he built. When he died my dad said he heard about and by time he got there all of Harry,s stuff was gone to the wind . He had a beautiful lathe that ended up in marion wisconsin and was later told that the lathe was wrecked and scrapped . Wish I could remember more things

I bet the number on his locomotive tells a story. The only guys that may still be around who were there at the track and knew him would be Lee Whalen and George White of Michigan.
Re: Harry Peotter memories
Harry Peotter was my great uncle. I too am interested in his trains. I never got to see them run only on display in his workshop. I see the man who bought his lake cottage also got his steam engines so hopefully they are still around somewhere. Any more info would be greatly appreciated. I believe uncle Harry was a master machinist with the FWD Corp in Clintonville as well as being involved with a few other endeavors.
Thanks in advance

i believe the number 6158 was the steam locomotive that used to run through Clintonville Wisconsin. I think Harry somehow got the bell off of that steam engine and kept it for himself until he donated it to the Masonic Lodge in Clintonville.

FWIW -> That's: API 5L grade B tubing
Makes a very good boiler.

Too many things going on to bother listing them.
