Howdy y’all!
Figured I’d post some photos of the construction on my 7.5” gauge 2.5” scale outside frame 2-8-0. I’m currently working on new counter weights and CNC out The equalizer yoke which will complete the suspension. The engine has no real prototype that it is being built after. It is semi built off a C-25 base but being fitted with walscherts valve gear. Anyways here is some photos of the current progress. The boiler shell is 10 ID scheduled 80.

That's some pretty cool stuff right there! It doesn't have to be a prototype build to be something interesting and great. I like a lot of the 'what ifs' when building equipment, and that is part of what makes this hobby unique. To me, as long as it is plausible that a railroad somewhere might have built, bought, or used the piece at some point in time, then its all good. looks like it will be a lot of fun and a great performer when you are done.

A great looking project! And one of my favorite wheel configurations.
When you refer to "counter weights" I see crank levers without counter weights. Do the drive wheels have counter weights on them instead?
And I notice that the brake rigging is not equalized at this time. Are you planning to equalize them?
I have found that equalization makes a big improvement in braking function, and both of my locomotives are now so equipped. Please keep posting, and add your location, if you are so inclined.

Howdy! Thank you guys for the responses! Yes the loco has counter weights in the drivers, hence why they are not the full style. For some reason the new counter Weights photo did not upload so here it is and a photo of the equalizer yoke. the brakes, I know they are un-equalized. They are Morally a parking brake as all my cars and tender are equipped with brakes. I’ll try my best to keep updating this thread with progress photos
