Calvert Holt what year did he pass away?

Post by Pat Fahey »

Hi All
I am trying to find out what was the year that Calvert Holt of Greenwich, Connecticut passed away.
I google his name and found nothing, I have been to the I.B.L.S. website, under the category of people and found nothing.
I know he died as a result of a Pennsylvania K-4 rolling off one of his dollys in the shop, and pinning him in the midsection of his body. Once the locomotive was back on its stand, Mr. Holt did develop a blood colt that killed him.
So does anyone know the exact year of his death? Thank you Pat Fahey Waushakum Live Steamers.

The only Calvert Holt I can find passing away in Greenwich in that era was on June 29, 1938.
On find a grave the name and date of passing comes up on a grave in Westchester county New York

1938 sounds right as Mr. Holt was partly through building several 7 - 1/4” gauge NYC Hudsons for the 1939 New York World’s Fair. He died before completing them.
