Bill:
Guess I'm blind or something. When I use your link provided early in this thread, it sends me to a page where i can select the two subsequent pages , one labeled "pump files", one labeled "misc item designs" and there is a shortcut to email you.
Then I selected "pump files", where it gives me a choice of pump plans to download based on the scale. There it also says what you wrote here, "pay attention to the builders notes...." But I can't for the life of me find the builders notes, other than the few on the drawings themselves.
What am I doing wrong that I can't find the "builders notes"?
Thx again Scotty

sorry:

builder's notes are INSIDE the ZIP file for the 1/8" pump

The only builders notes I could find are in the zip file for the 1/16 pump. There are two word files in that folder, one labeled 1/16 notes and the other just labeled duplex pump notes... looks like that may be for both sizes... I haven't perused it just yet tho. No word doc in the 1/8 zip file.
Thx again Bill this will help me along the way as just looking at the pdf files alone seem so overwhelming!

Ah yes . Well the notes are in the other file. Just x2 or ÷2 as appropriate.

Any thoughts on the ball valve system on the Braun pump vs the valves on the Van Brocklin/Shields version? The ball valve version seems pretty easy to make. I was just studying the two yesterday and was trying to choose which one. Bill would you have an assembly view of the pump?

This is the single not duplex. The assy view seems to be missing from that plan set. Indeed that set is not on Bill's site at all. Thanks though.

That is it...

The bvb valves work very well and are easy to build. If you have a problem with leakage..then using a ball glued to the end of a piece of tubing can be used to lap the seat.

All pumps require care and cleaning. They cannot be just run and ignored. Experience has shown that simply blowing out the water with a gentle blast of compressed air is satisfactory.

Ball valve vs D valve?

Do not understand the question.
