Looking for 13” drivers

Post by Glenn Brooks »

Hello All,

I acquired three 13” cast drivers from an old scraped Grand Scale locomotive. No idea of the provenance, other than they look old... the owner lived in Arizona in his retirement years, but owned a scrap yard in Southern California in the 1960’s. So the wheels could have come from LA, or Arizona, maybe 60 years ago, or more.

I’d like to ID these wheels and find either one (1) or three (3) more, to make a complete a set. One more make an Atlantic. Three more would make a nice 2-6-2...

Anybody recognize these, or have the other missing drivers for the set, hanging around some dusty corner of your shop?

Dims:

Tread Diameter: 13”
Flange Diameter: 14.5”
Tread width: 1”

All one piece, cast iron casting. Counter weight scalloped out on the back side.

Thanks,
Glenn
