Re: my project
air compressor is mounted..just need to add the scale bracing. they cover up the bar stock main mount straps. also the compressor has a shroud around it.
kinda tricky to get it positioned just right so it looks correct and clears everything.

Re: my project
Looking Good Pam. The air compressor looks like it's from Moe's Locomotive Works. Will the Air Compressor and HW Pump work. Thanks and Keep on Steamin' My Friend!!

Re: my project
Of course they work. The pump was tested on 90 psi air and generated 300 psi water pressure. The compressor has some issues but will work.

Re: my project
got the in feed to the water pump from the heater top piped. next is to pull it all apart and smear a lil steam pipe dope on the threads. then get the tape to make it appear to have lagging on it.
the spacial fabrication for all the santa fe specific bits and pieces is climbing off the chart. and no prints to work from....just 80 year old grainy photos....index stock...a sharpie...and my thumb. just like Jack

Re: my project
Pam,
Let me know what details you need photos and dimensions for.
I have lots of photos of Santa Fe 2-10-2 940 and am within
walking distance. I can climb up and get close up photos
of any details that are common with the 3460's.
We just furnished the Oklahoma Railway Museum interior
photos and dimensions of the train indicator boxes for their
work on 2-8-0 645.
