Call me thrifty I have been called worse. On hand I had enough channel to build the loco and tender stands but not the legs but had some 2x6 left over from building my house.

The castings were very close in thickness so touch and take half flip and set on blocks ease on down till you like it then cut other side. Use a square against the block in slot.

The tender trucks are complete other than a few dabs of paint . But have been thinking about brakes.

Well I just could not live with locktite for the crank pins
I don't know what I was thinking, on an early comment about needing a shoulder to press to. So new pins press fit in wheel and .003 under size on bearing for grease. Jim

Re: 2 1/2" scale 4-6-0 build
Before pressing center drivers on the eccentrics had to be installed. So I look up in a valve gear book and got on the inside admission schematic, instead of outside admission. I could not make it work out. So I talked to Tom and he reassured me it works. So I called Marty and his advice was step back or take a break. After I cleared my head I realized after getting the book out what I had done. All good. Jim

This is a very detailed casting set that Mike Venezia offers and I believe he still has a few more. This will be very nice on any 2.5" scale loco. I would like to machine it to function. Thanks Mike
