Completely understand that. I have bought 3 injectors this year, and wish I could buy a fourth one. All for future projects, you understand. I just can't buy any more right now, but I got what I could, when I could. There are several things that I wish I had gotten several years ago that are not available right now. So, don't forget about it, save a bit on the side, and get it as soon as you can. That's how I do it anyway.

Here today, gone tomorrow....
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
Re: 3/4" Raritan 2-4-0 build.
Tomorrow is tax free weekend in my state and am trying to figure out what I need. Mostly for the tender right now. Looks like I need 1/16 brass for floor and sides. Will this do? https://www.ebay.com/itm/294157227015?h ... SwYW9gkAlx I just noticed they want $31.20 just for shipping of the 8"x48" brass sheet. I guess if it's that long it has to have a box solid enough to keep it from bending and denting? But the tender calls for 14 1/2" long and guess I shouldn't be splicing the more common 12" long size to something to make that should I? I'm also looking for a brass block to make the bearings out of.

Yeah, if you're going to all this work, don't mess around with splicing. As to the bearings, I think bearing bronze (660 a.k.a. 932) would be a better choice. Lots of that on Ebay.

Thanks Greg. Guess another seam that has to be water tight is another risk of leaks.Greg_Lewis wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 6:33 pm Yeah, if you're going to all this work, don't mess around with splicing.
