Luck!

But, what you need is patience. It's like eating an elephant. One bite at a time. Measure twice, cut once. Stay focused. Understand what you're going to do, and why, before removing metal.

Now the fun begins. Like Harold said: "...patience."

At least you have drawings, which allows you to make useful pasts without having to design them.
Pick a small part and make it. Record the time it took you as a note one each drawing.
One part at a time, increasing in complexity, and you will be amazed at your own progress.
I'll be watching your Build with interest.

Thank you guys for the kind words of encouragement.

I actually have started doing just that with just right now I am drawing them on CAD. There a few items for sure that I want have done on CNC equipment. therefore I am taking the time to draw them in fusion 360 which accomplishes 2 things. First I am becoming much better with my 3d modeling / technical drawing skills. 2nd It allows me to break all this down into small sections like you said.

Best regards.

Just as an example to what I mean, here are my recreations of the Front Spreader and the Yoke plates that will need to be made. Doing this will allow me to get an idea of what each part will look liked finished as well. Also, as far as getting items laser or water jet cut, I can choose all items that are the same thickness and combine them on a sheet at that point as well.

Getting really excited about the idea of being able to test out different designs for items on my upcoming 0-6-0 build before I start cutting raw materials. This is the reverser lever handle, lock, and actuator for the project. I am using the Allen Models 0-4-0 and 2-8-0 as a starting point for Des Peres Valley #4 and these were created as per those drawings. It really opens up a world of possibilities. Also does anyone know the reference point dimensions for the items I highlighted in the last picture? On the lever itself I don’t know how far off the edge the 3/16” hole is at the bottom. There is no reference point dimension shown for the spring retainer screws on the lever or lock as well. Also the slot on the lock only tells me the size not the placement. Any help is appreciated.

I think those dimensions may get determined after assembly when you can see the valve gear range of motion, and establish the latch slot positions based on valve gear position. And the latch spring size will determine its mounting location.
That's how I set up both my locomotive Johnson bars.

Unless I have not understood your questions, which is a very real possibility.

One of the issues is that the prints don't show the reversing lever stand..

If the radius of the reversing lever quadrant is known, we can approximate the distance of the pivot point very closely (within 1/32" perhaps) and get pretty darn close.
