Centre Gauge use

Post by Mr Ron » Wed Jan 29, 2020 10:57 pm

I came across this picture in an old machinist book of the different ways a centre gauge can be used. I post this because I'll bet not too many people thought about the different ways this gauge can be used; I for one.

Here is the link to source of the picture, which is cleaner.
Plus this book may be interesting to leaf through.

Interesting. I've always called it a fish gauge, though. The one with all the notches is evidently usually called a center gauge, though I'd never heard that.
