Thanks Harold , I did find the Boelube product line in Travers catalogue , they add it as non-toxic but I don't want to breathe any kind of mist. they do have a solid stick and paste and water soluble liquid besides the pure liquid like you used. Might try their paste or stick for small jobs . I wouldn't appologize for your memory, you seem to remember more than I'll ever learn about machining.
