I found a bridgeport M-head milling machine that I can get for free, and similarly I've found a stand alone J-head, that I can get inexpensively. I am wondering, what is the feasibilitiy of mounting the J-head on the former M-head milling machine's body, and Ebaying the M-head. I am pretty sure that the m-head machine is actually a newer v-ram (I will need to take a better look at the machine with a machinist friend, also to acess condition too). Does anyone have any familiarity with such a practice? and are the mounting brackets the same?
