Re: Ring light
Thank Glenn.. he pointed me toward something that I would never have considered
Too many things going on to bother listing them.
Re: Ring light
Has anyone else tried one of the three winged LED ceiling lights that screw into a mogul base? Screwed one into a garage light 'socket'.They are so bright you cannot look at it without damaging your eyes - like 6500K lumins... or something like that. LEDs are the way to go now. Hand held flashlights now are crazy bright! Machine work lights are nothing at all like the old incandescent light bulbs and no glass.

Re: Ring light
I put some in the outdoor pole lamps at church to replace 130 watt sodium vapor lamps.
20 feet in the air you cannot look at them...but glad I did it.
Not sure how they would work in my garage..unless they can be dimmed a bit...would show too much dirt and clutter.

But look at all that stuff you can find that you thought was gone.Bill Shields wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 9:42 pm I put some in the outdoor pole lamps at church to replace 130 watt sodium vapor lamps.

Re: Ring light
Those sewing machine lights are awesome! Thanks for suggesting them! I have a couple bench grinders that needed lights too, so I bought a few of them. I'll probably remove the magnets from the base at least in the ones for the grinders.

Cheap enough to be disposable, after they fall into your spinning work!

Re: Ring light
Is mill...tools spin
Lathe is machine to make round parts with square tools.
Mill is machine that uses round tools to make square parts.
Then there are turn-mill and mill-turn machines.
And bar fed mills that do not have 'TABLES'
and Swiss lathes that have 9 turning tools and 27 milling tools

2nd! I got mine today! They are the perfect size, mount w/ magnet on the mill head pivot pin (BP clone).
Now I can get rid of those halogen lights that I never use because they are too HOT (and 25+ years old).
