Maybe, if you have to pay for them to be printed. It costs pennies in material to print them. Time is a factor too. In this case printed gears are probably fine. On my 10ee, if they broke, their pieces would fall into the gearbox.
Thank you all for the advice/help. I think a trip up to Grizzly may be what I need.
I am already looking for a gear pitch gauge so I can look at making my own. I am kicking myself now for selling the dividing head I had gotten with the machining equipment I bought.
I also have a guy I know who makes Carbon Impregnated nylon items on his 3d printer. I may ask him for set to try out.
Lots of choices.
