Are there bonus points for remembering the color code jingle?

Trouble is, half of us who
should remember color coded resistors don't remember what we had for breakfast.

I put a Heath Kit TV together in the early 70's, I believe it had many resistors.
When the TV was finished it would not work, so I had one of the brilliant electronic kids at the high school tune it up, he did a great job.

While I was never fortunate enough to be able to get any heath kits, I would guess a crystal radio. I’m hoping you’re not so old to say you remember the first one as a smoke signal kit at the trading post.

"In 1947, Heath introduced its first electronic kit, the O1 oscilloscope that sold for US$50 (equivalent to $607 in 2021) – the price was unbeatable at the time, and the oscilloscope went on to be a huge seller."
I bought and built a 10w stereo amp, which I still have and use for speaker testing (free-air resonance, etc).
Interestingly, in 1962 it came to be owned by Schlumberger, the company that my father worked for from 1976(?) until he retired. I hoped for an employee discount program, but if they had one, I never found out about it.

Ok, I just looked it up. That would be a heck of a kit, too bad Heath died testing it. Reminds me of secondhand lions
