Best I can figure, the back has the plug in it. The front where the slot is, is where the grease goes. I think you would install a press in fitting. This would make using the slot for adjusting difficult. I think the little I got in the bearing helped. Then again I just looked closer. I think they may have installed a plug in the front making it a sealed bearing. Which would make sense since it does not run that much.

I have to fix a car then on to the saw.
