On the comment about blade length. I was wondering about the length actually being 64 1/2 because I kept finding that length on suppliers lists. but not 64". that made me curious from the start of my search. Chinese book says 64" but I'll check that out. thanks.

Like Starritt Bi-metal blades , but the best is Lenox DieMasters in 64 1/2 " with 10-14 vary pitch blade ( .025 x 1/2" )

Most machines have a considerable range in blade take-up. You might want to check yours at minimum and maximum settings to find just what the allowable blade length range is. My machine will accommodate an 8" range in blade length.
