Roller chain lube?

Post by Greg_Lewis »

I've got an RMI transfer switcher that runs with roller chain between the truck axles. I've tried motorcycle chain lube and a couple of other products that are labeled as chain lube but the chains pick up dirt and crud regardless. What might you suggest for a good chain lube? THANKS!

Bel Ray chain lube.
Spendy, but it drys, and stays on there longer than most. Most motorcycl shops carry it.

Thanks, WArmstrong. I'll check that out.
I see you're in Northern Nevada. If you're going to the Sac meet look for me.

Greg,

I use Boeshield T-9 Chain Lube on the chains in our locomotive.

Good Luck,
