There is also of course the Model Railroader Cyclopedia Volume 2 - Diesel Locomotives, which must have 75-100 different drawings.

Maineline Modeler also had drawings for the ALCO FA1, but unfortunately, I don't have a publication date.

The trucks are the only really intricate parts, thats where most of your budget will go.
