1.5/1.6" and 2.5" Scale Oil Cans

Post by lfisher »

Fisher Detail Foundry is now making both 1.5/1.6" and 2.5" scale Hubbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. Locomotive Oilers and Tallow Pots in kit form. I also make matching backhead shelves in both scales. The Locomotive Oilers are available with your choice of road initials on the bottom. Fisherdetailfoundry@gmail.com or my website at http://fisherdetailfoundry.wordpress.com

Here's a photo of most of the kit components for the 2.5" scale version. The kit includes the chain, fastening links, and wire for handles. Components are silver soldered or epoxied together.

Is it possible to purchase the 1.5/1.6" oil can only? If so what is the can base diameter, can "NYC&HR" initials be on the bottom, and how can I find the cost?

Both the Locomotive Oil Can and the Tallow Pot are available in 1.5/1.6" scale. The Locomotive Oil Can is .64"d. The photo above of the Oil Can in my hand in front of my tool chest will give an idea of the size. Yes I can put NYC&HR on the base. The Oil Can is $102 and the Tallow Pot is $118.
