wonder if anyone has used a multiple bearing crosshead on a LE atlantic/pacific. I guess it'd shorten the combination lever unless you kept the drop link.

ah...

isn't that a Laird type crosshead?

so I used to think that too and I'm happy to be corrected but I think no. The 4449 style is also what's on Jim's berk models.
I think the above is a laird style.

Well there you go ..loco cyc says it is multiple bearing ledge type crosshead used by sp fef.

Learn as you go... hopefully :mrgreen:
