Never grew a beard, because all my life I have suffered from acne or skin cancer.

Coulda saved a lot of $$$$$ tho, if I had done so!

When I let my beard grow, my wife grimaces, makes a face like she’s going to barf, and says I’ve got mold on my face. :D

Chuckle!
Should have picked a more loving, caring wife!

The last time my face saw a razer was back in 1964. I do not shave and I have no plans to do so. I would feel totally naked if I did. The time and money I have saved over those 58 years is immeasurable.

Just sayin'

If you haven't shaved in almost 60 years, you don't need to start now.

I grew mine in 1987. What little shaving I do is with a 1963 Gillette that takes double-sided razor blades. They cost 50 cents each and I go thru 1 or 2 per month.

Question: Has your loving, caring wife ever seen you without a beard? If not, it's high time she learned the truth! :D

For the record, I stopped shaving somewhere around 1975, met wife a couple of years later. I always figured the beard helped in the way that you describe.

Ditto here on the coloration, with forehead development a work in progress.

I haven't shaved in over 50 years. It all started when I got into a car accident that left a scar on my face. If I shave, I would cut the scar tissue, so I don't shave. I really don't have a heavy beard, but I do have a beard and sideburns that I keep trimmed. I do look scrawny at times, but at 87, who cares. Over the years, I've saved a lot of money. I don't get haircuts either.

Funny hair thread! Nature's "Amazing Engineering."

I have had beards, tho not now. Lip 'stash now.
And twice had my hair down to my waist although wavy and not appearing that long.
Too much work to maintain. Especially at my somewhat advanced age...
