Casting RR Truck frames

Post by ChipsAhoy »

Did a test run on 1" scale, "one piece" arch bar trucks. Had a few inclusions from migrating petrobond (operator error)
1.5 scale trucks are now coming out perfect, once there is a stock pile We will make them available.
These are pics of the 1" ones showing the faults.

What do your trucks look like when they are machined up and painted?

Thanks

A little locomotive with 4 wheels on the track is a lot more fun
than a 1/2 finished one with 16 wheels on the bench!

They look very nice to me of course, but we have not painted any ourselves. Maybe I will get a hold of some that others have done and see if I can get pics to post here. 1.5" is all that we have sold. We are waiting on feedback on the 1" ones (4-3/4" guage) we got busy pouring 1" spoked drivers and brake shoes, then the foundry had to take a back seat due to this virus thing they got going.
