Bronze on a hot day in Maine ..

Post by OddDuck »

What's fun to do on a 90 degree Fahrenheit day? Stand 5 feet away from a 3000 degree Fahrenheit metal casting furnace and make bronze axle bearings for a A.O. Lombard dump truck, that's what. I think I gave new meaning to the word shvitzing. Gahhh.
A successful session, however, got two done. Wanted to do more but the furnace was being somewhat cantankerous and it was too hot.
Yeah yeah I know all you southern folks are scoffing at a mere 90, but that's hot for Maine.
Only 7 more to do...
