Carl 10 ft is modest opinion I would put you at 3 or under feet. Now that being said I'm more of the 10 ft distance.
As for example my tender will shake the purest. Great job on #7. Jim

The pins were turned out of 2" hot rolled.

Started on the tender bolsters and pins.
Bolster plate is 3/8×3 20 inches long. Found center drilled 1/4" then dropped the chuck and inserted a MT3 1"drill . The size was chosen because of the center hole in the table.

I finally got a couple of reverse acting spring return cylinders and finished the brakes other than paint and finish assembly. Jim
