Re: 5 volt DC regulated power supplies

you are on track with the battery charger and dimmer switch to adjust the voltage down if needed, it will need to be a old one with out all the auto charging stuff added on. if you need a higher voltage then a auto transformer will in most cases take the input up to around 130v to 140 v with output ...

Re: 5 volt DC regulated power supplies

check out caswells site. the late fibergeek did a lot of work on setting up home systems

a home built constant current 0 to 30 volt supply plans used to be posted there

doing it at home is pretty straight foreward( you will be working with acids and dyes)

high pressure air compressor 3500 psi

Hello all, I am looking for some guidance on construction of a 3500 psi air compressor. I realize it will need to be done in 3 stages more than likely, and will not need very big pistons. Re: Any experiences with Precision Matthews mills?

i have a round collum version and have used it a lot, the presence of apower feed is a nice upgrade.
you may find the need to brace the top of the collum to a solid wall that is a lot of iron hanging off of it
limited number of speeds on the spindal
