To answer your question. Yes, I've done it before...BUT. you have to be absolutely perpendicular to the foil and even then it is prone to snagging, tearing and ripping. I received a couple inquires about the chemical "treating" on the ties. It is done by a commercial company, not in my back yard. It is a Pressure/Vacuum cycle in a flooded sealed container. I will get the brand name of the chemical from the MSDS... when I find it... it's laying around here...
