Newbie Question: Cut metal with compound miter saw?
Is it possible to cut, for example, 12L14 rods with a miter saw?
What kind of blade should it have?
What should one be careful of?
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks!
Thanks! I will give that a try. I see some of it is available on ebay. Looking at the metal suppliers on the net and ebay, it seems there are 1000's of different types of metal. Gratifying!!!
I got my first lathe mountd and running tonight. After all these years waiting...reading...watching lathe videos...and finally made the time to get it going! I put on the safety glasses, put a small hunk of plastic in the chuck, and started to cut. How gratifying. I didn't want to stop this evening!...
