Re: More LED problems
Just to add to the discussion! "Listed/Compliance" markings mean many different things, to many different areas of the earth. In the USA, what is acceptable is determined, state by state. In the state of Washington, there are several listings that are acceptable, CE is not one of them. IP ...

Re: LED shop lights?
With LED lights, there are two numbers. One is Lumens = brightness, and Kelvin = temperature or color of light. 5000K is a good choice IMHO for the color of light useful in shops. Any higher and the light takes on a blue hue and feels cold. Incandescent lamps are in the 3000 to 3500k. For office spa...

Re: What's the fastest my spindle can go?
I am not expert, but.... I run my Maxmil mill with the belt in the high speed position and leave it there. The only time I move it, is if I need some extra torque, when milling slow and heavy. I do not use my mill for gain, so it is not run for long periods of time with heavy loads. I do often run d...

There are labels, like the one you made, that come in the case the tubes come in. You might have to ask for them, but it is a requirement to label the fixture when making the change. At least in Washington there is, as it is the manufacture's rule and that trumps the NEC.

Earlgo, I have the kind of implants that work like Morse tapers do. There are all kinds of different implant fixtures, I have found out. Without the slide hammer it would be difficult to remove my teeth. I sure like mine so far. I can eat anything I want. I do take them out after a meal, to give the...

No problem Ed.
I should mention that no one was hurt in the accident! I am thankful for that! Also, no citations were issued. She got a warning. She has insurance and has admitted to falling asleep. I have no hard feeling toward her, stuff happens.

Re: Patio's projects
It started snowing here on Christmas Eve and did not stop until we had several inches on the ground. Usually the snow does not last long here. It stayed about a week and has finally melted off. The temperatures are still cold enough That I don't like heating the shops, unless I know I will be in the...

I am semi retired now, remaining on with the company, as an employee and administrator, until my brother passes the Administrator's ex...
