Re: Dial Bore Gauges: Are they worth the investment..
It all depends on the use you have for them. Personally all I...

Re: vfd remote
Brent,
Not sure what Cat5 wire is but we use all sorts of light gauge signal wire on our VFD's
Remember the common voltage is usually 24 volts max at something like 20 mA.
I have even used 6 core alarm wire with no problems.

Re: Grizzley vertical/horizontal mill
The combined horizontal and vertical mills have only just re-appeared here in the UK. They surfaced about 3 years ago and then disapeared almost imediately for some reason. I looked at one out of interest when they first came out and although not interested in buying one I was quite impressed. The o...

Re: Super-Tech/Taig CNC Mill
Congratulations on your new machine Dave. They are really well made for the size of them. I bought a manual Taig mill and converted it to CNC as here in the UK there is a vast difference betwen the price of the manual Taig and the Quantum machine, which is the imported Super Tech model. Also at that...

Re: Still here
Sorry Forrest I don't agree either. True there are some faults but every one of the 5 or 6 boards I frequent has some faults. What I do like about this board is you get the chance to select your subject wheras on othe boards engineering and all subjects are grouped in together and you have to wade t...

Jim, Try this:-
http://www.timgoldstein.com/cnc/geckoG320wiring.htm
This is for servo drives but they still use step and direction commands.

Doug, Referance your 30 tooth, 30 degree PA, 24/48 spline. If you follow the instruction on the web site about form cutters and substitute the following this will make a 30T 30PA cutter for 24/48 spec ANSI B92.1 splines. Pin diameter = 0.503" Distance apart = 0.4924 [You will need two small fla...
