Quick update tomorrow (3/19)

On 3/19, you may notice the site up and down a bit.
It is time to update our security certificate.
This should not take more than a minute, but it usually takes me about 20.
I don't do this often enough anymore, I guess!

Thank you, everybody!
I am glad I didn't spend that $100.00 on the pump!

Aquarium Air Pump for chip clearing?

Does anybody use an aquarium air pump for chip clearing?
How noisy? The milling machine makes plenty of noise!

What capacity should one purchase?

Thank you!

I think this is a full-sized Caribou!

It is a Grand Trunk Western 0-8-0 on display in St. Paul. I don't know how a GTW locomotive would end up here.

Re: Kozo A3 Project Starter. **SALE PENDING**

I don't suppose any of your CNC models/STM files could be made available.
I have been restoring a CNC machine for years! It might be fun to cut something out.
Thank you!

Endangered Language Preservation!

I think this definitely qualifies as a Junk Drawer topic! Many years ago, my wife made a journey into the jungle as part of a linguistics project. The goal of her university group was to document an endangered language. Cleaning out the storage locker, I found the recordings of the group. I would li...

Re: Requesting assistance for board issues

In the past, there was a utility (plugin) that would resize images. The maintainer of plugin did not update for the new releases of phpbb, so had to be removed. That was too bad, as it was super handy! We did increase the size of allowed photos, but we don't have unlimited space on the virtual serve...

Passenger Trains in Germany and Poland

I was lucky enough to have a work trip/mini vacation and visit Germany and Poland.
Here are two quick pictures.
The trains in Poland were clean and comfortable.
The trains in Germany too, but the German trains seem to be stretched to capacity.
