Thank you to everyone for your comments. I acquired a xy table, 4 inch Kurt vice and R8 collets from a friend who owns a machine shop and a lot of surplus equipment.

Thank you NP317. I take it that an end mill is used with the chuck and not a collet. Correct? In your opinion, what is the largest end mill size this machine can handle? 1/4"...probably. 3/8" maybe????
