I bought a Jet-16 12 speed mill/drill. On the right side of the quill is a zerk fitting. Is the zerk fitting use for grease or like on a Bridgeport, is the zerk fitting used as an oil lube point?

I live in the mid-west with high humilities in the summer. I like copper because it dissipates heat better which means less moisture in the air. For the plasma cutter I still use an air dryer.

Re: drill dr. or darex?

Yep, you're right, did it by hand. The point is sharpening drill is a skill that should be acquired and developed. Drill sharpening by hand is just as important reading a mic or making the perfect cut. The truth is, on small drills, I use a Dill Dr. but on larger drills I "try" sharpening ...

Re: Where can I get good twist drills?

Called Lawson to get a price quote and got a royal run around. The last person I talked to said I would have to register before I could talk to a sales rep.

Thanks for cleaning house and taking a stand. I did not see the original message you deleted, but I am going to run blindly with this one anyway. There are off topic posts that are tolerated and we can live with as small mindless annoyances. Others should be dealt with in a more direct manner. By re...

Forrest and his boards

Forrest,

Just how many boards/forums do you frequent? I maybe mistaken, but I am starting to use my other hand to count them all. It would seem I see your name popping up all over the web.

ref books

I am looking for a couple of books for tooling applications. For example a procedure for turning an inside radius on a peace of round stock, the book would explain the set-up procedures.
