Re: Modeltec Back Issues - Pennsy E6 Series Parts 32, 46, 48, 49
Joe, Would you please scan and send me the ModelTec E6s drawings/photos on: 1. Issue Jan 1991 - Ashpan 2. Issue mm 19xx - Compound Airpump 3. Are they all 1.6"/Ft scale? Yes, i'll pay the costs. I'm detailing Accucraft PRR E6s live steam engine in 1/32 scale. I don't think neither of those item...

Re: Steam Loco accessories: Compound Air Pump, Turbo Generator, Air Distribution Valve
Sorry, i've been away for a while. Thank you Steve for the drawings and photos of the Distribution Valve. The URL site below won't go anywhere. I guess they removed it. http://www.grandscales.com/crosscomp/CrossComp1of3.pdf I need to re-visit some real locos, preservation place to photograph n measu...

Re: Steam Loco accessories: Compound Air Pump, Turbo Generator, Air Distribution Valve
By being in fog head Sr moment, i posted the same question here today. But i'll attach same photos here for convenience of the 3 items. The air distribution valve on the E6s #460 at Strassburg, PA is at the bottom of the cab's top rear corner. It has a cylinder behind all those square ugly face. And...

Re: Steam Loco accessories: Compound Air Pump, Turbo Generator, Air Distribution Valve
Thank you Rich for pointing out the book. Bit pricy at over $50. I googled and there was no site where they show content of the book, esp. those 3 items. There must be drawings of those, esp for the pump and turbo gen since several 1.5"/1.6" scaled castings are available. I'll try asking t...

Prototype Drawings for Westinghouse Compound Air Pump & Pyle's Turbo Generator
Hi, Does anyone have or point me to above drawings? Fully assembled dimensions would be needed so i can check my Accucraft 1/32 scale live steam PRR E6s model. I think the casting is a bit too narrow (depth) if not bit small for H x W. Same for Pyle Nat'l's Turbo Generator drawings with dimensions o...

Re: BUILDING A PENNSY LOCOMOTIVE?
Hi Dave,
Wow! Thx for the photos of the entire K4s. Looks like you've got the boiler, belpaire, and the rest of the
K4s's profile correctly. I've see too many of PRR locos with amateurish boxy fireboxes etc.
Congrats!

Re: Newbie to CNC
Yes, Solidworks can't generate G-code. I agree with Gary. The software co. want you to buy both MasterCAD and Solidworks. MasterCAD doesn't do 3D well as Solidworks. MC is basically a 2D design software. For instance, when I tried to mill my steam cylinder's outer wall depression (where insulation i...

Re: BUILDING A PENNSY LOCOMOTIVE?
Hmmm, nice photos. It looks like the famous K4s 1361 model. Can we see the entire broadsided picture
of your model? Does the turbo generator actually work?
